Gab #15. Featuring Mr Bingo, Dan Woodger & Ilka.

For Gab #15 we've got something pretty special planned... an illustration special featuring:

Mr Bingo...

Mr Bingo was born in 1979. In 1980 he started drawing. There wasn’t a lot to do in Kent. Mr Bingo is called Mr Bingo because when he was 19 he won £141 at the Gala Bingo. He’s been making it rain ever since.

Over the last fifteen years he has worked with hundreds of clients across a wide range of media; you might have seen his illustrations in TIME, Esquire, QI, The Mighty Boosh, The New York Times and on Channel 4. He is a regular in the New Yorker.

In 2015 he launched a kickstarter to fund a book of his hugely popular Hate Mail project. This was a turning point in his life and he realised that if the public were willing to fund his silly ideas, maybe he could turn this into a ‘career’ and stop working for clients for ever, which he did.

He creates colourful, playful, character-based illustrations across a range of different platforms and mediums and specialises in emoji & icon design. Ilka...

With over 10 years experience in the industry, Lisa & Laura decided to take the leap and launch their own design studio, ilka. Join them as they talk through their somewhat random journey, from creating yoga pants to designing a brewery.
