April '26. Creative Diary.

April is almost over, and it’s been another busy month in the studio which has meant time has flown by. A little too quickly for our liking, but at least we now have some sunny weather in Glasgow which feels most welcome (as you can see in the quick snap above taken from the studio window).

So what have we been up to. We launched a new campaign for whisky brand Lauder’s, so we’ll hopefully get the chance to post up a few wee bits and pieces from what was a brilliant project soon. We got to work with our friend, the incredible photographer Susan Castillo, where we got busy re-creating the Lauder’s bar setting in the studio. We also got to partner with our illustrator pal Barry Thomson - it was nice to get to work with such a talented creative team - something that we enjoy a lot.

We’ve been busy putting the finishing touches to a pretty big multi-channel campaign that we’ve been working on since the start of the year, which should launch to the world this summer. We enjoyed getting to collaborate with some old friends, and also some new ones - like the amazing team at No. 8 in London for campaign colouring. More on this soon.

We were across on Arran kicking off a new video project that will launch later this summer, and thankfully enjoyed some incredible weather for our trip which was most welcome.

Down in the brand trenches, we’ve been beavering away on a range of application elements for a big brand project we’ve been working on for the past 9 months, we’re now onto signage, campaigns and website - and this is also due to see the light of day this summer which we can’t wait for.

We’ve also kicked off a new design project with our pals at Cryptic Arts, working on creative for their Sonica festival that will be held in Glasgow later this year. It’s always a pleasure to work on great arts projects, so there’s a real buzz in the studio about this one.

There's two more coffee based projects currently kicking off next month, always a very welcome thing.

It might feel a little early, but we’ve also been working on our first Christmas project of the year. We don’t want to talk too much about that though - as it feels like we are wishing our lives away thinking of December, we’d rather enjoy some summer sun first.

Having retuned full of inspiration from Offf in Barcelona, we were delighted to announce that Jamhot will be making an appearance at one of our very favourite creative events - Birmingham Design Festival. It’s such a privilege for the studio to be able to attend events like this, and we’re really looking forward to a trip to Birmingham to meet some nice folk this June.

Today saw us back in Finnieston doing some filming in The Hidden Lane for a project we are working on, it was a nice blast from the past having spent so many happy years working from there. We also popped into our old studio on Kelvingrove Street to pick up some mail from the nice folk at Sevenfive Creative who are in the space now - it was really nice to be back. We even got to pop into the Big Slope pub to say hello and grab a coffee - sadly not a beer this time, but we’ll be back soon to do that for sure.

Oh… and literally as we typed the last paragraph the familiar beats of Dub Be Good To Me by Beats International came on 6 music (the song that we lifted our studio name from).

Tank, fly, boss, walk, jam, nitty gritty (etc)…

This is Jamhot x
