We're kicking off the year in an exciting way, as we announce the lineup for our first Gab event of 2024. 

We'll be back in Sloans Ballroom in Glasgow for an evening of creative chat with three great speakers. We hope you might be able to join us... 

Eilidh Loan | Actor & Director

Eilidh is an award-winning actor, writer and director from Renfrewshire - nominated for Best Writer at the Stage Debut Awards and for two CATS Awards in 2022 for her play Moorcroft. She was selected as one of The Scotsman’s ‘Ones to Watch 2023’. Eilidh wrote, directed and starred in her debut short film, Soul that was selected by Screen Scotland and BFI, Short Sharps programme and has recently appeared in Molly Manning Walker’s hit feature film How to Have Sex and has also been cast in the new series of Doctor Who.

Hamish Fingland | Artist Manager & Musician

Hamish is the founder of Bounse, a Scottish music management company with a collaborative outlook. It provides its collective with a home to share, communicate, build, and stay creatively stimulated. Hamish began his career as a sucessful musician, touring the world with his band, and writing with other artists and for film and TV. Founding Bounse has allowed him to channel his experience into nurturing artists’ careers, allowing them to be full time creatives with longevity and credibility.

Alex Porter-Currie | High Tide

Alex is the co-founder and Managing Director of High Tide, the Edinburgh film production company. Her goal has always been to create films that make people feel something. Excited or inspired, reflective or amused – High Tide connect with audiences in a way that makes them feel anything but bored.
