GAB 43. Creative Event at BAaD in Glasgow.

Last week saw us take over the great space at Barras Art & Design as we hosted the latest edition of our Gab creative & design event series.

It was a great evening, with some excellent creative chat from Sean Thomas of JKR, Jordan Laird from Studio Something, coach & presenter Aarti Joshi - with the event expertly hosted by the one and only Sharon Caddie.

We were also treated to the first ever live performance from The Blue Cat Orchestra - the new band from Mick Cooke who is a good friend of Gab (and former speaker too). The band were brilliant, and it was nice to have something different at the event.

We had planned for this to be our last event in this format. Having done 43 of them, we kind of thought that they might have ran their course. It's also true that, like everything else in the world, events like these are getting more expensive to host and sadly the ticket proceeds don't always cover the cost of us putting them on.

But because of a lot of very nice comments from folk on the night, and also other folk who kindly emailed us and reached out on social - we hopefully might have another couple in us... if only as we agreed with the comment from Sean Thomas that 43 wasn't really a great number to finish up on. 44 sounds better... or maybe 45. Let's see how we go.

We have a good speaker in the bag for January, so we're hoping to be back in some form then.

Thanks so much to everyone who supports these events, you are the reason we do this.

Until next time...
