Hello Hatrack. New Jamhot Studio.
It's been a very good week for Jamhot as we got the keys to our new studio space in Glasgow's iconic Hatrack Building.
After around seven years in our Finnieston space, we felt the time might be right to make a move and Craig managed to find the sort of studio that we just had to have.
Located in the attic space of The The Hatrack, our new studio sits atop one of Glasgow's finest buildings. Built around 1899, the stunning Art Nouveau building was designed by architect James Salmon who, along with contemporary Charles Rennie Mackintosh introduced Art Nouveau, Glasgow Style and early Modernist designs.
This special studio was previously home to bespoke jewellery company Brazen Studios, and we were very lucky to be able to take it over from Sarah when she was on the move to a brand new space a few streets down.
It feels like a dream that we are able to call this place our own now, in Jamhot's 18th year. It's given us some serious motivation to try our very best to up our creative game and do the place justice by doing the work of our lives here.
We can't wait to get the studio set up over the next month, and while we'll be sad to say goodbye to to our beloved Finnieston studio - it's fair to say that this place is taking things up a notch (7 flights of stairs to be precise).
We hope to see clients and friends old and new visiting us at The Hatrack over the coming months - and look forward to sharing some of the work that we start to make here soon.
