June '26. Creative Diary.
June is done, and as the first half of the year comes to a close it's been a very good one for the studio. One of our busiest yet in fact.
This month saw us out and about a fair bit, as we travelled to London, Bute, Stornoway, Birmingham, Ullapool, Berneray and Arran. Some good weather. Some terrible weather. A lot of nice people. Quite a lot of pizza consumed too.
Birmingham Design Festival was a total treat to attend at the start of the month, and we've been blown away by all of the kind words given to us by nice people about our talk at the festival. It really does mean a lot.
June saw the launch of our new campaign for Caledonian MacBrayne, it's been great seeing the work out and about in the world and the feedback has been so heartwarming. We put a lot of effort into making this one come alive, and it's been such a good experience getting to work with the CalMac crew.
We've also been out and about filming for another CalMac project that will launch to the world in July, another exciting one to be involved with.
We enjoyed getting to spend some time with our pals at Tangent earlier this month, as one of the co-founders heads off to pastures new after 21 years. All the best Andy, you'll smash it!
There's been a couple of decent gigs over the last week... an unplanned visit to see the mightly Metallica and also a special trip to The Bandstand where we got to see Belle and Sebastian on the week that a campaign we launched using one of their songs launched. It was a very nice evening indeed.
In happy news, we signed up a new brand client this week for a post-summer project. But that can wait... as after a crazy busy few months, the pace of studio life is slowing down a little for the summer - with most of our new projects kicking off in August onwards giving us a little time and space to rest and re-charge.
Wishing everyone a happy (and sunny) summer. We'll be back soon.
