The Mick Cooke Lunch Club Society. Serving 1.

Today was a very happy afternoon in the Jamhot studio, as we were joined for lunch by our friend Mick Cooke.

Mick is an excellent musician, a former long time member of Belle & Sebastian, music composer for games, film & TV and most recently turning his hand to the tech industry as a developer.

When we moved into the studio last week, Mick popped us a friendly note to suggest lunch and also noted that he would bring his own sandwich. True to his word, at 1pm today Mick joined us and had a very welcome gift of some refreshing watermellon slices. For anyone interested, Mick had a ciabatta from Piece (we're not too sure of the filling), and the Jamhot crew had salads from Sprigg.

We had a most pleasant hour chatting about music, film, bands and other creative and general meanderings. It was nice to welcome someone into the new studio space, and for us to get away from our desks for an hour. We liked it so much, that in honour of Mick we have decided to set up...

THE MICK COOKE LUNCH CLUB SOCIETY

- The lunch club was started when our friend Mick Cooke came up to The Hatrack to say hello and brought a sandwich. From these humble beginnings, The Mick Cooke Lunch Club Society began.

- The lunch shall take place on an agreed date at the Jamhot studio in The Hatrack between 1pm-2pm

- Lunchers should bring their own sandwich (or roll, or pasty, or salad etc).

- Jamhot will provide coffee, tea, water (still or fizzy), or on occasions where we have been to the shop some juice offerings might also be present.

- You are kindly encouraged to bring a little treat for us all to share, but of course this is not mandatory (Mick Cooke brought some refreshing Watermelon slices, but you are free to bring anything you wish, or not as the case may be, no judgement - just lunch)

- All conversation topics are welcome during lunch, but for anyone who wishes to remain silent please to let us know and this can be accommodated

- Jamhot will select some tunes to play, but we also very much welcome and encourage lunchers to share a their own Spotify link to an album or playlist for us to enjoy together

- Upon the end of the lunch (at 2pm prompt) lunchers will be thanked, and presented with their Mick Cooke Lunch Club Society badge as a keepsake.

Anyone wishing to talk about lunch club can pop us an email. Meantime we'll get some juice in, and must offer our apologies to Mick for not even having teabags in today to offer him a cup of tea. Next time. Also, we didn't take a picture of Mick at lunch club, so the one we have is of the tasty watermelon.

Until next time... thanks so much for your interest in The Mick Cooke Lunch Club Society. We hope to see you soon.

Jamhot x
