Serving 4. The Mick Cooke Lunch Club Society.

The lunch club was back in action today, and this time we made good on our earlier promise - by providing our guest with an official Mick Cooke Lunch Club Society badge, which to be transparent is actually a sticker (we might do badges later).

Our guest today was our good friend Neil Golightly. Neil has been a very valued client of the studio for quite a few years - firstly at Worldwide Cancer Research and then at The Royal College of Suregeons of Edinburgh. It's been a while since we caught up so his presence was most welcome in the Jamhot studio.

So, down to business.

First up, apologies were sent from Craig who is currently on holiday somewhere (we think it might be Spain).

Jamie & Graeme both had some chicken sushi from tesco (meal deal). Neil brought a very tasty chicken sandwich from Piece in which was probably better than the sushi if we are honest.

Wonder Woman doughnuts (with a fruit glaze) from Krispy Kreme were laid out for all to enjoy. Neil brought some very fancy crisps, Iberian Ham Tores Selecta. We were impressed. As it was Friday, mini party rings were also available, which were quite good. The juice of the day was two fold - a choice of fizzy apple in a can or a traditional ginger beer. Neil also brought his own can of coke zero, so politely declined the juice of the day, which of course was understood.

The soundtrack to lunch was some Chemical Brothers (and associated acts).

We chatted about many good things including general catch up patter, the design industry, working in marketing, furniture, gigs at The Queen's Hall in Edinburgh, preferred flavour of crisps and the idea of having ambition.

It was great to see Neil and the lunch was a fantastic success. The badges went down well - and we realised that we'll need to get some to our guests from lunches 1, 2 and 3. This shall be a task for next week, appropriate updates will be forthcoming.

Thanks for reading, and for your interest in the Mick Cooke Lunch Club Society.

Until next time...
